TradieO wasn’t built in a boardroom. It was built watching real trade businesses lose their nights and weekends to admin that should have taken care of itself.
The problem was never the work.
Spend any time around trade businesses and you notice the same thing. The tradies are brilliant at the actual job — the plumbing, the wiring, the install. Then they get home, and the second job starts. Writing up quotes. Sending invoices they meant to send last week. Filling out compliance certificates by hand. Chasing customers who owe them money. Wrestling with software that charges more every time they hire someone.
None of that is the trade. It’s the tax you pay for running a trade business — and it was eating people alive.
We looked at what was on the market and it made the problem worse, not better. Most tools wanted a monthly fee per person. Few included a website. Few did much about the compliance paperwork — for a lot of tradies the single biggest time-sink of the lot. And most of them kept your business data on their servers, not yours. So we built the thing we wished existed.

TradieO runs the whole business side of a trade: quoting, invoicing, job scheduling, staff time tracking, customer reminders, bulk email, and a professional website with a page for every service and suburb you work, built for you at setup and added to as you turn finished jobs into posts. Then it goes further — it starts your compliance certificates from the job, runs the deadline countdown and keeps the signed records filed, and with payment reminders switched on it chases your unpaid invoices for you.
The point of all of it is simple: the work day should end when you leave the job. TradieO does the drafting, the filing and the chasing.

One flat price
You pay one flat price no matter how many staff you put on, and if you cancel, the website, the system and the server are handed over to you.
We’re not trying to trap you. It’s month to month, you can cancel any time, and your domain and your records stay yours either way.

We started in Tasmania on purpose — close to the trade businesses we built this for, where we could sit across the table from real sparkies and plumbers and gas fitters and get it right. As TradieO grows onto the mainland, that stays the standard: built for working tradies and tested by working tradies.
TradieO is made by Tradie Engine, a Tasmanian business founded by Jason Jackson (ABN 13 839 272 738). It isn’t a shared app: every TradieO is set up by us for one business, on its own server, with its own data.
